Les Journées Particulières: Louis Vuitton in Fiesso d'Artico (Italy)

 

 

Fureur de Mode was present to LVMH event Les Journées Particulières. In this occasion, the atelier in Fiesso d'Artico was open for a tour around the fantastic  design sculptures and a manifacture tradition handed down in the centuries. Every Louis Vuitton shoe was producted in this atelier, which has also a training center where every sale manager of the maison learn how to sell shoes. We saw a traditional artisan of men shoes who put on a cord into the upper with a very particular Norwegian weave. And then, We saw how a crocodile leather began a shoe which seems a design work. And we could admirate a splendid african shoes collection and a proud artisans who explained how many job hours needed to produce a pump like this. We learnt also that Louis Vuitton has the same parquet into its fabrics and in its stores and we discover that every employee speaks correctly french language and how the tradition of the Italian district between Padova and Venezia is important for the best quality of the final products exported wordwide. And speaking with the guide, we learnt that the job nights before the catwalk, when team works in order to have the product in timing, are real and every employee is proud to be part.
